Transgastric endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography for the management of choledocholithiasis after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass

The bariatric surgery has increased worldwide. One of the most common procedures is the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGBP). These patients have an increase risk of choledocholithiasis and the subsequent endoscopic evaluation for therapeutic purpose of the gastric remnant and duodenum can be challenged and not always have the access to special technology. An alternative technique is the laparoscopic-assisted transgastric endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) with acceptable results. We describe a case that's was successfully treated with this method.
